Delivering a suite of training programs to build a resilient community and help us to grow our stable, community-led organisation that focuses on connecting, educating, and saving lives.

Being able to help people in times of crisis is an important role, and we want to ensure that you have all the tools and the confidence you need to effectively help those in need within your family, friendship circles, workplaces and community, each and every time.

Did you know?

Nine Australians die every day by suicide. Ultimately, our goal at Lifeline is to turn that nine into a zero, and we take that vision very seriously.

This is why we put so much time and care into our community and corporate training opportunities. Our fully accredited training team deliver a range of training opportunities specifically to build skills and knowledge within the community.

Simply get in touch with us today and we can find the right training for you.

What training we offer?

  • Accredited Crisis Supporter Training.

  • Mental Health First Aid.

  • ASIST and SafeTALK.

  • Accidental Counsellor Foundations.

  • DV-alert and DV-aware.

Building your skills and knowledge will not only enable you to help those in need, but you can also be confident your approach to recognising, responding and referring is best practice.

The ripple effect within the broader community is:

For each participant who completes one of our workshops, a further 60 community members will benefit.

HEAR ABOUT OUR TRAINING

Most recently we delivered a DV-alert workshop, which is funded through the Department of Social Services, so we can provide to the community at no cost!

This workshop provides participants with the knowledge and insight to recognise, respond and refer those who may be experiencing domestic & family violence and don’t know where to turn.

In this particular workshop, we had 4 participants who were not your traditional frontline workers but claimed to be experienced and understand the complexities of domestic and family violence.

QUOTES FROM OUR

Dedicated Volunteers

"The training I received initially and ongoing as a Lifeline Crisis Supporter has served me and my family well. I have been more aware of the signs and triggers for suicide and felt equipped with the skills to help both a family member and neighbour when I witnessed these signs."
